Red Street Scout group started as an offshoot of 77th Audley Scout Group Beaver section which had operated out of St. Chad's Junior School, Red Street since 2003. The beavers' parents wanted a cub section nearer to Red Street so we set the ball rolling and with the blessing of Robert Plant GSL of Audley and Newcastle District Scout Association we started 1st Red Street Scout group with a dozen beavers and a couple of cubs and three leaders.

We are now in our forth year and to date we have sixteen beavers, sixteen cubs and and fourteen scouts. Our leadership has also increased to ten with a committee to back us up.
